League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Rapids Area

Sustaining our democratic society since 1970

Welcome to the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin Rapids Area home on the web.

Since 1970 the League's purpose has been to promote informed and active participation of citizens in government. While the League studies and then takes action on a wide variety of governmental issues, it is firmly nonpartisan; it supports neither candidates or political parties.

Membership is open to all men and women and visitors are welcomed and encouraged to attend our events and discussion meetings. Come, observe and participate. On this site you'll find useful information every citizen should be aware of along with pertinent information about us and what we are doing as well as information on how to contact us and join us.

This includes the panel discussion on redistricting slated for March 19 at the library, and the voter forums on March 25-26. Watch this space for any changes, as they seem to occur daily.
